A. Overall there is no right or wrong way to adjust or fit the TruRest to your body. The TruRest will fit everyone’s body differently – that’s why we added so many adjustment features. Also, since everyone has different ideas of what is comfortable, we recommend spending some time to play around with the adjustments until you find a setting that is comfortable for you.
That being said we make the following recommendations for optimal comfort:
-
Find a setting in which 60 – 70% of your weight is being supported by chest support. Adjust proximity, angle and face plate angle to find this optimal position.
-
You should have an even distribution of contact pressure with the cushions to support your overall face at the forehead and cheeks. Adjust face plate angle and remove and readjust face plate cushions to find this optimal position.
-
Avoid slumping and keep the back straight while resting against the TruRest to maintain proper alignment of the spine.
